Assuerus x Mme Chereau

This photo shows an unusual flower with 4 falls and 4 standards in 2009.

Practically the only one (of red-violet plicatas), but there is scope for improvement. (AJB 1924)

White flower with heavy reticulations of reddish purple and also has a little colour in the standards, the edges of which are pleasingly turned backwards. (Gardeners Chronicle 1919)

Standards white heavily veined and spotted violet-blue. Falls white with violet reticulations at the base and on the edge. Beard orange shading to blue at the edge. Admirers of Mme Chereau will appreciate this new variety, Fine growing habit and carriage. (Bonnewitz 1926)
